Did Katy Perry steal Shane Dawson's video idea?

So you guys know the song Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.) by Katy Perry? Well Shane Dawson from youtube did the song Last Sunday Night (T.G.I.S.) and they sound exactly the same except the lyrics are different and Shane's video was posted in September of 2010. Someone please explain this to me!
