Where to go sea fishing near Glasgow?

Hi I'm new to Glasgow, but used to spend a lot of time fishing in the Mediterranean where I lived before. I'm looking for a few tips for good sea fishing near Glasgow. I've heard that down by Greenock, Wemyss Bay and Gourock are good places, but I haven't had much luck there. Is it that it might be too early in the season, or perhaps better in the evenings or at night? I've been using rag worms and mussels as bait. Any ideas on how I can have a bit more luck? Are there any other places that I could try?
